Sorry about all the confusion, but in just a few short hours, I'll be migrating www.samash.net to www.RareCPUs.com.
Had a host provider problem, getting a ton more out of the new one for less money than before. Thanks to GSHV putting Site5 on his homepage!
Anyway, will keep you updated. Thanks _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com

Will do- just need to wait a few days for the DNS to make it's way around the net. Once www.RareCPUs.com is up and running, it will be changed. _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com

Well the site's ok, but i found yesterday a little mistake:
In the section http://www.rarecpus.com/intel.html , the first processor is the pentium 100 es and it is described "100MHz Pentium Engineering Sample with a heatspreader. Only one to exist is here on samash.net."
Change samash.net to www.rarecpus.com |

I was going through the whole thing so quickly because I needed to change all the hyperlinks from the beginning of EVERYTHING, from www.samash.net to www.rarecpus.com. I'll get right to the fixing, thanks for pointing it out to me. _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com

I have to second that! I'm just glad it's a collector that got them and not someone who wants to split the chips! _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Looks good to me, but i would put the news frame under the left menu, and have one frame with images in the middle.
Right now its confusing for a visitor having two different frames with pics on each side of the text. Whats the difference between the goodie collumn and neatos except neatos should be replaced once a week? Place news under the left menu and use all space to the right of it for images.
And the layout of the images under "Rare stuff" forces the visitor to bounce like "Pong, the game" between left and right images.
As sammyc said, try it at 1024x768. Yo get a nice little horizontal scrollbar. Horizontal scrolling = bad. Makes the visitor leave. Does not matter how neat chips there are.
When you post here under news you say that you ARE GOING TO change domain or add chips. Wait with the news until these updates are actually in place.
Some general suggestions. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

I will work on the horizontal scroll bar problem and reduce the overall width of the page. But I don't understand how someone would be unable to distinguish between chips dated clearly on the Goodie Column and a set of images rotated each week. I will work on correctly labelling those so people who know little english wouldn't translate it the wrong way. Everything other than the width looks good to me, meaning they will stay the same. Thanks for the suggestions. _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com
