Here is a uncommon Asus P4G8X
This is a S478 board for support of 1.4-3.06GHz CPUs
https://hothardware.com/reviews/asus-p4g8x-motherboard
It has the ASUS Bluemagic 'special' PCI slot with 'wireless support' (mostly a marketing thing
ALso has switches for 100-166 FSB
Caps on this one probably need replaced, and it needs a new chipset HS
but for$10 cant complain too much _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

The AGP Pro slot is a nice touch. I haven't seen many x86 boards with this slot. Both of the boards I have with AGP Pro are Alphas. |

Some PowerMac G5's also used AGP pro slots.
AGP Pro also made an appearance on very high-end workstation/enthusiast motherboards. Another 478 board with AGP Pro is the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP.
Too bad that the only notable "Gaming" AGP Pro card was the GeForce 6800 Ultra for the PowerMac G5. _________________ My collection |

The MSI E7205 Master-L and 875P Master-FA are 478 boards that also have AGP Pro. _________________ My WTB List

MSI GNB MAX-FISR was one of the first E7205 based boards, also with the AGP Pro slot. The BIOS is buggy though. Doesn't allow to enable ECC and poor compatibility with AGP cards, so I flashed a modded version of Iwill P4GB BIOS instead.
I have quite many AGP Pro capable boards:
Rioworks Arima HDAMB (AMD 8111 + AMD 8151; two dual core Opterons)
MSI K8T Master2-FAR (VIA K8T800 + VT8237; two single core Opterons)
ASUS A7M266-D (AMD 760MPX; two Athlons MP)
MSI K7D Master-LR (AMD 760MPX; two Athlons MP)
Abit IC7-G (Intel 875; Pentium 4)
Biostar M7MIA (AMD 761 + VIA 686B; Athlon XP + has an ISA slot)
Soltek 65DRV (VIA Apollo Pro 266; Pentium 3)
Soltek 75KAV (VIA KT133A; Athlon XP)
probably a few other boards for Athlon XP and Pentium 3.
Apart of the forementioned Mac 6800 Ultra and some 3Dlabs Wildcats, there was HP FireGL X1-256p for the AGP Pro. That's basically a Radeon 9700 with 256Mb 256-bit DDR memory. It was an option for the HP c8000 HP-UX workstation with dual PA-8800 or PA-8900 CPUs. The last hooray for PA-RISC. It works fine on PC though. _________________ My Active Sales |

The gaming segment quickly went with adding more molex connectors for power rather than using large and presumably expensive motherboard connectors. Because that's all AGP Pro provides on top of regular AGP: extra power. |
