These were kinda tricky to figure out, as SPD6720 isnt an Intel part # that I was familiar with, turns out thats because its a Cirrus Logic part that Intel licensed/produced (CL-PD6720)
Cirrus Logic original developed the PD671x/672x PC Card controller family back in 1994 or so, as an extension/enhancement to the Intel 82365. They turned out to be very popular and THE standard for PC Card stuff, so Intel started making them as well, and Vadem, and some others
These were made very late, 2005, probably a last production run. They continue to be widely used, so an End Of Life Supplier now makes them called Amphus
The history of this chips is probably more interesting then the chip itself, but they are new and cheap so there ya go
20x Intel SPD6720QCB NOS $1 each or 3 for $2 _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
