Hi,

I came across some of these Rise mP6 variants. They seem to be quite rare:
- 300MMX
- RT300

What's the difference to the more common ones with the green plastic PGA adapter?
They use the same speed (2.0 x 100 MHz Bus) and voltage (2.8 V) settings as a 266 rated cpu, are recognized as this on a GA-5AX board, and are as fast as this.

Was there any specific reason for Rise to produce these variants?

Then I got a Rise iDragon cpu.
Setted to 2.0 x 100 MHz, it is as fast as mP6 266 in Doom and Quake benchmarks under DOS. However, it is slower in System Information 8.0 CPU Benchmark.

What are the differences in architecture between mP6 and iDragon cpus?

I have not seen these variants on a PGA adapter before. Clock for clock are the doom and quake results identical? What’s the max speed the one with the small fab process will run Windows stable?

My opinion: RT300 may be a fake and 300MMX may be a remark.
