Here are some nice IBM/AMCC PowerPC 405GP CPUs.
THe 4xx PowerPC design was sold to AMCC who continued to make it, so you see IBM made ones and AMCC branded ones.
These are made on a 0.25u process and have 4K of on chip cache
These are the 'D' package which is a 27mm BGA
Previously I had only seen the 'B' package which is a slightly larger 35mm BGA, both have 456 Balls
These are solder pulls from broadcast equipment
