G'day all.
I've been trying to ID some chips that I still kept in a closet for well over 20 years. During my studies I generated some extra income demolishing old mainframes and selling parts.
Apart from ferrite core memories, 60's magnetic tapes and ancient IBM boards I have several ceramic and gold processors and it took me quite some time to end up on the Odd Chips pages on this site. The codes and manufacturers logo never seem to match though. A series are from AMI but oddly enough there are some marked with the ancient and relic Burroughs logo that I can't seem to find info on, out there on the grid.
My questions are these. [Links provided below] What are these good for ? Where can I find more info on specifically the Burroughs chips ? What's the current going rate for these in the collectors scene, or at eBay ?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I would buy them for their eye-candy value.
Some value them by their gold content. ( a shame to destroy them, and not much gold anyway)
It would have been nice to see the environment the chip was in, a picture of the board for example.
If you want to sell them them, put them up for sale on ebay to get the widest exposure. OR sell them on here in the forum under pm offer to see what people are willing to pay.
I cant give you a value, I can only say what I would pay, €10. sorry. |
