| I am sorting through so old CPU's of mine. I came across 3 slot 1 CPU's that are missing the casing. Two are Pentium 2's since the L2 cache chips are present. I took a picture of each |

Could you take a picture including the complete PCB? Preferably both sides ..
External cache doesn't necessarily mean Pentium II, Pentium !!! with the Katmai core also had external cache. |

Well, cache chips seems to be 4 and 4.4 nS respectively, resulting in 250 and 227 MHz, thus CPU is absolutely no more than 500 and 450 - and more probable 450 and 400 - so you're probably right, they are PII's. Isn't there any text on the white label on the backside?
The third is most definately a P!!! Coppermine of some sort .. |
