Ridiculous shipping rates

Here in The Netherlands PostNL has increased the shipping rates to some countries, for example the US.

Hold your breath, it cost now € 51,80 to send a parcel (2-5 KG) with $500 insurance. A parcel from 351g-2 kg is € 34,30 with $500 insurance.

According to PostNL it's beacuse of the Corona virus, there are less international flights so the flights are more expensive. They say the prices will drop after the virus. Well, I need to see that happening.

Are there other countries which increased the shipping rates?

The US hasnt, flights are actually cheaper, and airlines begging for any cargo they can get, so seems PostNL may be doing a bit of profiteering unless they chartering flights just for their mail

I received a motherboard in 10 days from GA to the UK. Shipped on the 20th, arrived on the 29th.
