Hey,
I am searching for 1 or 2 IBM Power 5 MCM CPU's
Does anyone still have one too many ?
I know/saw Adam had once too many, but is currently afk ?!
Would pay ofc half a fortune, but not as much as Marcin tries to sell em on Ebay - since he got em from Adam, just to resell em...
I want one formyself and maybe one for a friend of mine who fell in love with it and nags me for a year now

He hasn't been seen in over a year, and some buyers who sent him a lot of money the year before are still waiting. He appears to have scammed several forum members.

You have spammed me on eBay with a lot of "good life advices" and tips on how to proceed on my eBay sales but when I didn't accepted your offer you started fire with unproven statements and now your next move is above. Great You can feel to be a winner !

sad that you see it as spam..i thought we talk, which was nice
and in the end...you turned out to be ...well..def not a studied, doctor, engineer, experienced IT-guy, more like a small pc-worker in a shop..with a hooby..which is fine !
but i do work in industrial sector, surrounded by 128.986 cores, worked in many companies, studied electrical engineering with goal of becoming a chip-designer myself - which i gladly abonded and ran a company, cause else i might have burned out like many other chip-designer, which become after 10 years gardener
and what to say...if you do it since 2005...youre 16 ? years old ? - i do it since 1989 and i feel still like a noob, cause there is sooooooooooooooooooo freaking much in this world.
..and those "unproofed" statements..are ofc discussable... where you should have the foresight of..."yeah there is maybe more" ?? ..all i said was like..dont expect a cpu to be 5000 € in 50 years..cause turns out..after 40 years..noone knows what the fuck "x" is..and will pay/give you nothing..
so we can continue to talk..and get other people inside this too, just copy all of my mails/convo we had..post it here..and ill confirm it.. dont edit it! dont forget anything !
and for the rest...there is nothing wrong searching now 1 or 2 cpus for myself and my friend ..so you got one forme for 100 dollars or not ?
cause you bought, grabbed em all from adam..not for yourself !!! ...cause to make money... this forum, this exchange/trade is between people of this particular job/hobby spectrum..not to make money ?!..ofc bit not wrong..but buying like 8 from adam at 60 dollar per piece and try to sell em on ebay for 250 € ...is pretty fucked up...and if i were admin of this server..i would ban you for 1day..if you fuck up again, for 2...and then for 4..and so on, till were at 1024 days^^
are you btw commercial ? cause ebay says youre privat ?... maybe i should write ebay..cause they are pretty fast pissed at stuff like that ( i do ebay bit longer and did also push it over the boundries )
and for people in this forum would mabye nice to know too, that you are not collecting em...youre trying to make profit of those peoples connection, cause you yourself cant get anything anywhere else
i dont see why i would be a winner ..i told you i had 60k debts, the time power5 mcm would float around everywhere i couldnt pay 1 € for potatoes, fought myself back to life... i sold my 25 year collection of 3000 cpus + mainboards + rams to pay my life!
so at some point..screw you !! world is way bigger, i trade/buy/sell in japan, taiwan, usa, brasil, australia, isreal, philipinnes and just started with china...and you ll be surprised what you find everywhere else !!

yeah i read..i dont think he did it inteninally..either story is true with family/child - can change mans life..for good or bad..or both^^
worst case scenario ; he got divorced, his life crashed like mine did once..then nothing matters
youre poor and suddenly develop eyes for every coin someone drops on the fllor, you stare trough people watching em sitting at diner, or got nervous while shopping, cause you think of stealing food.

else..i saw where he worked, i know those type of people...im partly one of those myself ?! worked with many of them...they are...weird..but nice^^
so in the end..send someone from forum, nice one, go there, ask politley in company..dont come to solve the money problem, or the "i want my stuff"

Insulting a moderator who is well respected here, is not the way to get what you want. We are a large, friendly group of collectors. Sellers can ask whatever they feel their items are worth, and sometimes they will consider offers, but being (or thinking you are) older does not give you more rights in here.

Thanks Debs. I'm not an angel and have disadvantages too but that what he shown above is 1/5 what I got on eBay messages and in my taste there is something wrong with communication between us. I could remove it as have permissions but better to show that how is it. I will not continue to that and take the "critic per chest"

well...sometimes you make wrong people as moderator or admins... absuing their power..cause where i work we ofc have the same problem..people dont have to get along - but becomes problem if someone then sits on "admin throne" ..making people suddenly to bow to him...even if he is a dick, wrong, bad, terrible...
reminds BLM ..like police officers..thinking they are the one
..and im at least relieved..that marcin writes something like.."im not an angel"..yeah great at least that..cause youre def not !
and..usually no..wrong in communication..maybe sure..happens, usually i learned like 30 years ago how to talk and trade with everyone..even the cocain addicted bosses of it-companies buying shit for millions and millions of euro, wasting life, people, resources, hardware
and as i said..then go marcin, take and copy the complete ebay-convo..you have my blessing !!

at some point i wonder..you spoke in mails of something like..corona, cant sell on ebay, lockdown, inflation and who knows if youre alive after pandemic...
soo, why not sell something direct, without ebay, get some money, to live on, buy stuff to preotect yourself - like why not sell something, when you have the chance, when im there to spent like...money... while you cant on ebay ?! |

That was a great price! I only collect x86 and earlier chips, so am not up on MCM prices, but I'm pretty sure that is less than half what that set would normally sell for, both here and on eBay. Nice find, if you were the lucky buyer

well adam sold em for 60 dollar per piece
in the end..those are useless, you cant eat em, you cant give em your girlfriend and in future noone will know what it was and pay nothing for it..it just looks nice, will alawys look nice and always will be worth 50,60 dollars
cause i have stuff here from 1968, 1976, 1986 - which has more meaning, is way cooler...but
is so old, noone knows anymore what it is, and those who may have wanted it, had connection to it, are either already dead or too old - so noone buys it, nor would me give 5000, 500, 50 or even 5 !! dollars for it |
