The AMD Am29C327 is part of the Am29C300 processor family
It is the big brother of the 29C325 Floating point processor
The 29C327 is a full double precision 64-bit FPU (the '325 is only single precision) and also supports integteger instructions as well
These are made on a 1.2u CMOS process with 250,000 transistors.
They support IEEE754, DEC and IBM Floating point formats and can run in a flow through or pipelined mode allowing for 10MFLOPs

They are a rather rare FPU and saw very limited use outside of experimental and govt work.
They found use in some avionics systems, as well as for the processor of the VLBA Radio telescope

The -1 is the speed select 5MHz version over the slower 4MHz version
