| My thunis laptop computer crashed, I checked it, AMD Mobile Athlon-XP CPU was ruined.If I buy a new m-cpu, it is expensive, I don't know if I can plug in a desktop cpu,Maybe it will have got higher temprature. I don't know motherboard model, so I can't find latest bios. My old m-cpu's first bunch code is AXMD1400FQQ3C. |

probably not a good idea.
the dsktop CPU will draw more power (and probably at a higher voltage) that the power supply / regulators in the laptop can't handle.
