Hello guys!
I have a strange experience to discuss.
I get 423 socket motherboard with P4 1,4 GHZ (SL4SG) on it.
So i try some HDDs with it without reinstall windows.
It interesting that with this stone successful start HDD with Windows 7 on it from Socket 478's.
Then successful HDD with Win XP SP2 from socket 370 platform.
And at the end HDD with WiN 98 that was used with P1 MMX.
I repeat always successful ,no BSOD.

Next interesting was that HWinfo Ver. 6.38 and 6.40 said that i use
Quality Samle CPU - QAQ2.
Ok. That's programs are too new. I download older version.
HWinfo Ver.3,35 thinks that's SL4SG,SL4SC. But in the type of graph -Eng. Sample.
Hmm. Much closer to the truth...
Downloding Hwinfo ver. 1,56...
Ok. Now all is right. SSpec, type...
But wait . CPU frequently 11k MHz
. Shocked Very Happy

The writer of that app has a thread on vogons (https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=69009). You can contact him directly with the bug you found by registering on the forums there and posting in his thread. The thread is primarily for older hardware support, but if you are a new member there (and unable to use the message system), he will be happy to receive your report. He is pretty quick at fixing bugs he is told about.

Do you have a picture of this CPU ? The ES flag is hardwired and can't be changed, so it's quite strange.

I have a T7600 in my M90 that showed up as a T7600G somehow, so it's not out of the realm for bugs like OP has to occur.

Mis-detecting the CPU model is common as the name is forged by the software. The ES flag is directly hardwired on the CPU, so it's another story.

OP said it was an old version of HWiNFO that had a bug, the new version gets it right but has a bug in the speed it detects.

But it is in other way.. new versions of programs see it as ES.
Bug with speed detection is in old version.

It' s interesting for me can it be relabeled ES/QS chip, or just bug of software.

Seems he said :

HWINFO 6.40 => QAQ2 ES
HWINFO 3.35 (10 y/o) => SL4Sx ES

both version detect it as ES.

HWINFO 1.xx is SOOOO OLD that it's expected to not detect it at all.

You need to post this in the vogons thread I linked above, so the app's author sees it. As far as I know, he isn't going to see it here.
