I recently came across this ST486 which looks as though it has been remarked from something else, although I dont know what from if it has.

I thought that but I dont have enough cyrix 486's to reference the back of the CPU against.

Yeah I just looked at your site and it does match up with a ST486 DX2-66, with the text on front and back looking similar.

So why the different paint? A painting error first time round on the printing?

Edit: And as Marcin mentions, i got this from a thread here at cpu-world, but i have checked all threads that gecko54000 has been in, and cant find it.
