Well, here is what many of you have been waiting for
I've finally found someone with a good scanner who is letting me use it Saturday afternoons to scan my collection (and trades). I'm half way through processing the first batch of scans - my best eproms 9and some more common ones) are in the General Discussion (Memory, peripheral and other chips) section, and here are some of my better (and rarer, although not all rare) CPUs. To see the lot you'll have to wait until I finish processing the images to put my website online _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Nice chips debs.
scanner is much nicer and easier. You sometimes have problems with the shiny surface of P4's and similar. |

Now that I have first hand experience of scanning chips, I can truely say that I'm impressed at how easy it is! Consistent quality of scan, same resolution for every chip. There are minor problems with some scans toward the edge of the scan window, but they are easy to sort out Best thing is that I can now show everyone that I'm not just saying I have some nice chips, and I can get some proper work done on my web site _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Thanks It's great to be able to start showing them off at last - and being able to put inages to the web page I'm creating (for the moment I have text description where the images are going...) means it's now time to start looking for some decent web hosting (and I'll be able to get back to what my site was originally created for - programming)

Yeah, I found that with some of the K6-2 - the problems with them are easy to solve though, I'll have to see what happens when I get a P4 or something similar to scan _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

You are welcome to make use of any scans I produce Thomas. The images I post here are generally not the maximum resolution that I ahve, I reduce the file size of most images for posting. I can provide you high resolution, tidied up images of anything that I have scanned (you will get the same versions that will be on my site). Just let me know what you want, and where to send it - not sure how soon I'll have a web site online, I'm working on it while I process the scans but haven't sorted my hosting out yet. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
