| Currently i am running an AMD Athlon 2500+ XP processor at 1.8 ghz. My mobo is an ASUS a7v8x-x. What i was wondering is how i go about overclocking my cpu safely and how far can i push it on this mobo? |

Well, If it's an AMD Athlon 2500+ M ,my friend let me tell you ,your all set
Results range from easy overclocks of 2.4 Ghz to tweaked highs of 2.6 on air cooling only! I need to say that I don't feel the chip limited out at 2.6.
After many configurations and testing I managed to achive a overclock of 2.6 using a mulitplier of 12.5 X 208 and a Vcore of 1.925, the temperature I reached was 43C at idle. (AMD Athlon 2500+Mobile Barton.)
As for just the AMD Athlon 2500+ Barton, I got it up to 193MHz - 2.123GHz with a Heat pipe cooler(copper) & fan 6500rpm.
Hope that helped.
