We had a group buy not so long ago, we got them for €50 each.
K6-2+/570ACR can be bought cheaper and modified to activate the extra cache and turn them into K6-3+. Some people who have done that successfully overclocked to 630 MHz stable. The modification even changes the CPUID so it is detected by all software as a K6-3+

Im not gna mutalate my current 550 but if ive watched those videos and if i had to guess the K6-3 550 Dye is actually a 570 scaled back to maintain stability when it hit retail floors. Those MLC resistors and the combination of them is obviously dictating Cache unlick and likely MHZ as well. |

I wouldn't do it either. They all work at 570 modded, but even so, to me it would be fake, and I don't collect fakes. Like you, I got a genuine one
