Hello, i'm looking for a replacement 286 cpu 10 mhz.
I've found some amd cpu for cheap price on ebay but the engraving seems wrong and date code is more recent than it was discontinued.

Did anyone tried to buy any of them?
Do they work?

Thanks

If anything, that CPU in the last link is the fake looking one.

I have an original 286 from amd, the german one seems the most true...
But it can be a fake for sure...
I do wonder if AMD changed the characters used at some point.

In the German one the writing isn't straight, the ink is thick, and the logo looks wrong - with points and arcs on the trailing edges of the arrow, where their logo normally has straight edges. I have seen many 8088 chips with the same M you see in the Chinese listings

Thank you for the clarification.

That's the cpu I found in a 286 (and I suppose it is original since it never have been "touched".

But I noticed that cpu with that marking seem more rare than the one with a different M
