Hi,

I just wonder if I should keep those chips or give them away for cheap money.
Or if here is something I should keep because it is or maybe becomes worth something sometimes.
I am not really collecting 486 and pentiums so I don't have much knowledge about them.
Please no PM offers as I am already in a deal and I don't want to handle out a PM auction:-)
So just help me to see if here's something I should have an eye on.

Thanks in advance, Michael

For me, the most collectable is the U5S-SUPER25, simply because that is a processor family I want to complete Smile

The Pentium MMX, depending on sSpec and speed, is fairly common (some moreso than others)
Ceramic Pentium chips are fairly common in general, although I don't know about the 120 without the "-" as I don't have one so can't say they are common
The 486 with sSpec SX911 and sSpec 729 are very common

If they go up for sale then at the right price I would be interested in:

A80502120 SX994 (I don't have it without the "-" in the part number)
U5S-SUPER25 I definitely consider that collectable, and I don't have it)
AMD A80486DX4-100SV8B with no "N"
A80486SX-20 SX406
A80486DX-50 SX546 T

The umc is fairly uncommon. The others are common. The PPro and Socket 5 pentium are worth some money despite how common they are because they contain alot of gold and so scrappers pay well for them.

Same here if you can have many of them for sale I will buy them ! (cheap because you said they are common)

UMC U5SX 40 is worth max 25 USD. Super 25 is about two times more hard to find comparable between SX 40.

I can't remember what I paid for my U5SX 40, but it was nothing like $25. Maybe half that, although I don't remember (maybe I just got lucky, but I'm sure it was a German seller and was less than 10 EUR.

The Super25 I agree is a lot rarer. I don't remember the last one I saw for sale, and I reckon it's worth at least double what the SX40 is worth, if not more...

The UMC-SUPER25 is one of a number of UMC chips that I am still missing.

586/133 mounted on a 486 socket

It was announced as Turbo for 486 computers

I have the Kingston TC5X86/133 and I think they are fairly common. But a NOS one is always nice Smile
