Ok, I sold a few things and it was pretty much straightforward.
Some sellers here are continously on it. Being all used and/or retro stuff, it's different than sellng brand new.
Curiosity.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Keep track
of what was sold? To whom it was sold? Or are you
asking how to track revenue received for reporting
to the proper governmental agencies? |

Yes, all of these. I can't make a list as there are many aspects I may not see.
Stock, shipping and all that is connected to. Time management...
John has a site, but what about others?
"How do you do it" is my interest. |

I'm not super fancy. For listing and tracking active sales,
I simply use Microsoft Word. I just keep a document open
with current sale items. If they sell, I drop them down to
the bottom of that document and when all sales are closed.
I use that same doc to use as a pick list and to "invoice" from.
What doesn't sell may be saved for future sales or I may simply
add them to the pile of chips to be sold as scrap. When I have
collected enough chips to fill a box, I pack them and send them
off to a well-known place in Klamath Falls.
When payments are received by PayPal or ChipPay, I line item
enter the total into the Quickbook check register I use for my non-profit
as revenue from "other types of income". I book things the same
way that are sold through eBay or via direct sales to the wholesale
community that I deal with.
There are many more elegant ways to track sales but I'm a simple
kind of man. Or old, you choose the epithet that fits best. |

For larger lots, I kept spreadsheets to track inventory and some sales figures. _________________ My collection |

Google Sheets is what I use for all my local sales. _________________ My Collection Archive |
