The NCR32 CPU wqas an original 32-bit CPU design by National Cash Register in the early 1980's.
One of its more unique features was an external microcode bus, which allowed custom microcode to be used to emulate earlier NCR mainframes, or to support direct programming via high level languages. The base instruction set included 179 instructions.
They contain 40,000 transistors and were made on a 3 micron process (later shrunk to 2 micron) and ran at 13.3MHz
