The ST52E420 is a 20MHz 8-bit CPU with 4K of EPROM and 128 bits of RAM
They suport hardware MUL and DIV as well as both boolean and fuzzy logic.
ST called this the " ST FIVE Family 8 Bit Intelligent Controller Units"
The Fuzzy logic portion was handled by a separate part of the core ST called 'The Decision Processor'
These were used in industrial control applications as well as motor control. They were a pretty recent addition to STs catalog, having came out in around 2000, so neat so see such a new EPROM device.
