Here are some nice ones.
These are blades out of a Cray XD1 Super computer.
Each blade contains a pair of AMD Opteron 250 CPUs with the AMD 8111 Chipset.
A Xilinx Virtex II Pro with Dual PowerPC cores serves as the communication processor for linking all the blades together.

These systems ran 6 blades (12 CPUs) per chassis, and up to 12 chassis (144 CPUs) per rack.

They started at $50,000 a system

Interestingly a feature they supported was a Acceleration processor (fairly new tech for 2004) which plugged into the connectors around the chipset.

This was handled by another Xilinx, custom programmed to the customers needs, and backed by 16MB of QDR cache (which was memory mapped to the CPUs as well) This allowed some tasks to be offloaded from the CPUs and greatly (massively for some code) sped up

I have 4 of these boards for $46 each

It is, they are soldered on the top PCB layers, but not the bottom
