I have this very early calculator chip - Mostek MK6010. Looking for more information about that, pinout, voltage, how to connect it ... _________________ ComputerAsylum |

Same as Mostek 5010. These were the first single chip calculator chips and they are very very rare. I sold some 5010s on ebay back a few years ago and still have a very few left.
MK6xxx was Mostek's designation for customer chips.
Their own house marked chips from the same time period are marked MK5XXX. |

Sorry forgot to log in and I don't visit this site much, but the MK6010 caught my eye.
In my opinion this chip is far more historic than the first CPUs, even though it just preceded them by months. It was the pinnacle of technology in it's day.
That example is perfect. If that's yours, the only thing I'd do to it is store it in inert gas to prevent oxidation.
The 6010 chips were purchased by Busicom a Japanese calculator company. |
