Hello, what is the best cpu for hm65 at 35 watts with a g2 socket?
And for that matter, is there any cpu, other than the i5-3610ME, that is compatible with hm65, is of 35watts, g2 socket AND has intel hd graphics 4000?
I already checked https://www.cpu-upgrade.com/, but i found in https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Intel-HM65/144078 that there are other cpus compatible with hm65 not showed in cpu-upgrade, like the i7-3520M, with users posting benchmarks with it. I wanted to confirm if it´s true that it´s compatible, i know the i5-3610ME is compatible with hm65 despite being an ivy bridge, so i want to know if the i7-3520M is compatible too.
Thanks in advance.

Did you mean the fastest processor with a 35-watt TDP? If so, that would be the Core i7-3632QM if the motherboard's BIOS supports Ivy Bridge. Otherwise, the fastest is the Core i7-2640M.

Laptops or embedded boards with a HM65 chipset do not support Ivy Bridge by default, unless the manufacturer of your system specifically mentions that it supports Ivy Bridge. The DFI HR902-BL for example, supports Ivy Bridge even though it has a HM65 chipset.

I believe this is normal for embedded boards in general, but for laptops? Not in my experience. My ProBook 6360b (HM65) doesn't boot with a Core i7-3540M installed, and I'm sure that applies to most laptops with an Intel 6 series chipset of any kind.

That depends on your motherboard's BIOS. Those benchmarks that you linked gave no information on the motherboards used, so I don't think this is normal for motherboards with a HM65. However, it may not apply to your motherboard which is why I said it depends.
