I guess I would try scraping most away using a knife and remove the residue with acetone or brake cleaner. Make sure you don't spray these cleaning agents on the CPU since you might overspray on the black printing. Use a wet napkin or something instead. _________________ thandor.net - hardware

that pink stuff is hard to get off, I use a razer to get most, then some steel wool for the rest
rutlands glass cleaner can provide a nice final clean _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

It is not an exact science and there are no manuals to do it, each collector has developed his own method that is the result of years of experience and many failed attempts.
Mine is to heat the part and remove it with wooden chisels that do not leave marks on the ceramic, when most of it is removed you finish with a polishing paste for chrome plating.
ATTENTION! at this stage you must cover the gold parts and the writing with paper tape so they are not damaged.
in the photo you can see the result in the SPARCs that have a similar cement, the final result is not bad.

I usually use a credit card (or plastic card) or a timber ruler to remove the pink glue.
I avoid using a metal tool which may scratch the ceramic. _________________ Want List
