I want to change a processor in my laptop. I suck at knowing about electronics, but I've done research and I've found out that my laptop can get it's processor changed. My laptop has 13 years, It's a samsung laptop, the model is NP310E5C-A01PL. Currently it has it's original processor which is Intel Core i3 3110M, 2.40GHZ. I want to change it to Intel Core i5 2450M 2x2.5GHZ. They have the same socket which is 988B rPGA. I updated my bios it's P0RAP, but I can't find anywhere if it's compatible. I wanted to be sure so I contacted samsung support, but the guy said that he does not have any information about cpu and I should ask intel. The intel support is unavaiable for now, so I asked the intel community, but still no straight forward answer. So I ended up here. Also if yall have any recommendations for other cpu's that will work, but are better (and cheap), then feel free to tell me! Tysm for help. |

Usually you can run sandy bridge parts in ivy bridge laptops.
It shouldn't cause any damage to the system if the CPU is unsupported in this case. _________________ My collection |
