|
|
Hello!
I am a bit confused of the CPUIDs of some of the newer 80486 class processors from Intel.
I got a A80486DX2-66 SK080 &E3V1X here, which is detected as an i486DX4 clocked at 66 MHz . My mainboard is a Concord Office Automation COA-921 whose FSB is fixed at 33 MHz and the multiplier is detected automatically. I used CPU-Z 1.19b (under Windows 95) and an Intel utility for DOS for reading out the CPUID, but they both say the same: The CPUID is 0480h. To my mind this CPUID belongs to the Intel DX4 processor. My two DX4-100 (SX900 and SK051) have the same CPUID.
I there anybody who has the same processor and can tell me his CPUID? Has anybody an idea, why there is a DX2 processor with a DX4 CPUID?
Best regards, Xaar _________________ Sorry for my bad English - I'm working on it!

looking at the info vinicio provided.. it looks like the cpuid is more associated with core revision rather than cpu speed

I just came across this post and as it happens I got a SIV report from one a couple of days ago. It's CPUID is 0480, same as a DX4, and it's also got the same size L1 cache as the DX4 of 16KB rather than the usual 8KB.
From SIV V5.81 Beta-07 SIV correctly reports it as a DX2. |
