This is the one some of you have been waiting for Smile

I finally got my site ( http://www.ukcpu.net ) online. I have scans of most of my processors (the last few will be scanned next time I get a few hours in front of the scanner I've been using). Not all processors have scans of the bottoms, but that will follow as soon as I am able.

Eproms will be added over the next few weeks, and again they are mostly only scanned from the tops, bottom scans will follow. Other support chips will be put online only after I get the CPUs and eproms finished.

If you ahve any comments or spot any mistakes on any part of the site, let me know Smile

One more note: I haven't got my tradelist ready to put online yet, and don't have a links page yet. They will be getting started this weekend, so at the moment they are inactive links (there for decoration Smile )

Nice, I would like to see a self-introduction there too.

I like the ODP486SX-20 in particular Wink

Thanks. Hopefully it will become a site to remember, and not just an easy URL to remember Smile

Some great content there, well done. It could do with sprucing up a little though Smile

Thanks

I agree that it needs a bit of sprucing up, the problem I ahve is that I have no desire to become a web designer so have never learned how to use a scripting language like php or anything else that is server side.

I'm actually more interested in a site that works on most browsers than one that looks pretty, although the interface will hopefully get worked on before too long. I might ahve to do a search for some downloadable scripts, that would help, and put some of the content into a database so that a script can access it without me having to reorganise the site every time I make an update Smile

Nice collection. Lots of Intel and AMD. Wink

Thanks Smile I'm not particaularly into Intel and AMD over other manufacturers (at least, not when it comes to x86 chips), they're just easier to get loads of. Now that I collect chips earlier than 386, and non-x86 chips, thigns will gradually start to change (after all there is a finite number of different chips I can get from any one manufacturer).

I'm not a big fan of frames, but it is easy to navigate.

Great job! Smile

I hope to find a script I can adapt so that I can have a similar layout without frames. I never liked them either, but it was the only way to have the menu I am usingf, and I ahven't yet found anything similar that I can add with learning scripting to use it. The main thing is having a menu to the left that only has to be altered once to be the same on every page, so I guess I'll have to learn something abot css or php (or both, but I hope not).

Definitely, I hope I never consider the site to be finished, I hope to be making regular updates (although I'm sure it'll be mostly adding content, until I know what I'm doing with the layout).

Nice site Smile I love the menu on the left, it's basic, fast, and gets straight to the point. Keep up the good work, hope to see a lot more cool and rare chips up there! Smile

Great work debs! Nice to get to see your chips! I have added your site to the contributors page in the library.

Good job, Debs! Nice chips!

On the topic of having a menu that, once modified, is the same on all pages, that was my exact problem not long ago. Do you remember my first website? The one with five frames icon_yikes

Now it's all done with PHP like this:

<?
include("./inc_menu.html");
?>

Nice and clean.
