Cryptocurrency wallet how to start ?

Anyone is using cryptocurrency over hardware wallet ?
I'm watching tutorials about Trezor wallets.
How that would work to make small transfers between collectors for collectable items like chips ? Would it be enough good for that (low fees) ?

It can work very well but only if both of you, Seller and Buyer, already use Crypto, otherwise then whoever is not using Crypto needs to do some research, enter the system and get used.
Fees can be negligible, though it depends on the Cryptocurrency you are using, and you may have to account for market price variations and Conversion Fees if you are asked to pay in a Cryptocurrency you don't usually use.

I don't use a Hardware Wallet like Trezor but that is definitively not needed to use Crypto and the principle remains the same.
If I buy things from you then I would be happy to pay in Crypto ! As long as it is not one of these MêmeCoins...
You give me an Address, I send you the amount in the correct Currency/Network and we are done.

I will never use crypto. I lost more than £30,000 worth of bitcoin because I had the password for my online wallet stored on a floppy disc (this was many years ago) that deteriorated with age, and the company the wallet was stored with (I no longer remember who they were) told me they couldn't do anything to help recover it. I'll never trust that type of currency again, I have never had the sort of money that could absorb that kind of loss

Don't get me wrong, I understand why crypto appeals to a lot of people, I've just been badly affected by an issue that only happened because of it being so secure before I understood online security

I'm totally newbie but from that what I heard about Trezor hardware wallet is safe until you will not loose your small paper with key words. Exchange where you bought and transfered coins to wallet can be down, you can lost or damage this wallet and you can still recovery account on other wallet.

I think everyone have different point of view depends on where he live. From my point of view I think to decide and move a part (not really much) of savings to hardware wallet and get some experience how to use it everyday - not from investing like wolf from wallstreet

If there is a need for a radical change of place of residence (I hope not, but due to the geographical location I cannot rule it out), such a thing can save a life, or at least provide a certain fresh start.

I know it is risky buisness but Black Rock has entered to Bitcoin this year for a serious ammount so it is chance value will not fall down to 0

@Chips Which currency is cheap and in same time popular for making small transfers between same crypto users ? Which exchange site is your favourite if I can ask And surely we can do payments between us if I will open my wallet.

Thans for confirmation and additional informations @CHips. Seed phrases are same safe as cash, physical gold & stones. IMHO safer than all nowadays services in "clouds".
Propably I will start with BTC and something else this year just to have experience. I remember how PayPal was space technology 20 years ago
