These are somewhat unusual because notebooks are not supposed to take ECC memory, but many of them do.
These SODIMMs were produced for Cisco routers and various embedded PCs back in the day which could make use of ECC.
However if a particular notebook chipset supports error checking and the BIOS is smart enough to enable it, ECC should work just fine. Otherwise it will perform like regular non-ECC PC133 memory.
