|
|
Hi, I have two chips, 1x q9400 SLB6B and 1x Pentium G4560 SR32Y.
These cpus both have their engravings of model, speed, and other information in the far left and right corners of the IHS.
Is this common for Intel to release cpus from the factory with such physical impairments? If not, do these have a higher value compared to their normal counterpart?
I have put a normal q9400 CPU next to the defective q9400 for comparison.
Thanks! |

Fair amount of variation in markings, alll the way back to the 70s. Unless its a particularly interesting chip to start with, such variations do not add value _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Okay, cool
I have touched and seen over 30,000 Intel CPUs and these are the two I have ever seen mis stamped.
Thanks much! |
