I got a 49G2988--IBM 80486DX2-50 overdrive processor (FRU92F0147).
It seems a much rare CPU. _________________ www.siteem.com

I haven't seen one like that before, that looks nice. How do you know it's a 486DX2-50 without it saying so on the top? _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

It's most likely not a ODP, but a OEM 486 with heatsink. _________________ Frank. |

I was going to say it looks like an oem marked heatsink. I have an identical looking one with no markings on top. I am about to take the heatsink off.
digitaleos, can you post a picture of the bottom please? |

| it is a DX2-50 .. technically it uses overdrive technology, but it is not referred to as an overdrive cpu. It is a DX2-50, clock doubled 25Mhz to 50Mhz. |

That's a useful chart to have. IBM processor specs are not always easy to find There ahve been questions about FRU numbers before and nobody ever has a complete list, but every list helps anyone who is interested to compile a larger one (I'm going to be doing just that soon, going through this and other forums as well as searching the web for info to p[ut in one place). Thanks for posting it here. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
