|
|
Got a retail version Pentium II 400 with factory cooler attached
On my Asus P2B-VM it does boot at 400MHz and enter windows
but a brief look at the cpu-z shows a cpu name string as Pentium II 266MHz
since 266MHz shares the same multiplier as 400MHz, I'm thinking if it is a remarked cpu
CPU is in SECC package instead of SECC2
code:
B80523P400512E SL2SH 2.0V
98300880-0029 MALAY
anybody can shield some light on the mistery?
thx~ |

Maybe this is glitch of MoBo. I saw analogical simptoms on old Slot1 MoBos (for example, Chaintech 6BTM0) with a wide range of CPUs. On another MoBos there weren't such problems, so try another MoBo. _________________ FreeBSD - forever |
