Went to the scrap yard today and found a nice old tandy that looked juicy. Pulled it opened and started extracting chips. I got the processor and wasn't paying enough attention when pulling the eeproms and support chips. I accedently broke a pin off one. Whups. Then damn! it wasn't a support chip it was a 287 coprocessor icon_no So, someone help me out. How many dollars worth of dumb am I?

I paid $0.99 for the same chip, and even after adding shipping it was less than $2 ($11 shipping spread over about 12 chips...). I reckon I got lucky though - a seller who had several interesting chips that almost nobody bid on!

You didn't loose much - this chip is worth only a few dollars.
