Okay I allways thought this was an oddity, or at best a curiousity. this is a Combo Network/Wide SCSI board from an HP Vectra Workstation. It has both an Intel chip, and an AMD network chip, right next to each other.

Why? AMD and Intel have many cross-licensing agreements.

Intel chip is simply PCI bridge. And to be precise this chip was originally DEC's chip.
