The back story is this, This chip is out of a DEC vt240 computer I just scrapped. The processor in this machine was an 8085 (pictured) so I don't think this a processor although These machines may have had two processors for all I know. The chip is a nice ceramic DEC that is definately an engineering sample. I need some help in ascertaining what the chip does though. Any clues?

Thanks

Well.... hah. that was not actually sold as a computer.... though they had thier own CPU. The VT series were VAX "dumb" terminals. Just enough power to get you onto the VAX mainframe.

310 ES is a DEC CPU, ES on this chip does not mean Engineering sample.

Thanks for the info, I feel like this is one of those "I have good news and bad news which do you want first," moments. I'm happy that its a cpu and bummed that its not an engineering sample.
