I guess it's down to what you consider to be an upgrade chip. It's a replacement for a 386SX, which has a 486 instruction set and pin-out. I would call it an upgrade personally, but I guess it's down to how you interpret the term _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Most of these Cyrix's were mounted on a PCB, and used more upgrades, just cause it it isnt mounted, doesnt change that.
Though I have seen motherboards that have this CPU soldered on.
hehe yah 2000 CPU's is right around the corner _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

John, are all processors from your collection on your site? I mean if the 1974 is an actual count of processors in your collection?

I have about 25 more CPU's I havent added, and I have about 50 EPROM's to add. So yah 1974 is pretty much the actual count _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
