What processor would be best suited for vista?

I'm building a computer and I want to make it ready for via, so what should I get. So far I have either a Pentium D 950 or a AMD 64 x2 3800+

64-bit...

800MHz is fine, just dont turn on all the pretty stuff.

I have an Am386DX-40 with IIT4C87DLC-40 math-copro, 256KB cache and 32MB RAM running Windows 95 very fine Wink

Wow Windows 95 on 386 Shocked I runned on 486SX and PC was slow like a turtle but with DX4 100 was much better Smile I remember my work on P120@133 / 16MB RAM/ 1MB VGA with Windows 2000. Very comfortable !

Yes, Windows 95 on a 386 an Nero Burning Rom 5.5.10.28 recording a CD at the same time Mr. Green
