Is there any alternatives to Intel and AMD ??

why isn't there any 3rd party motherboards that i can buy off the shelves for IBM PowerPC line of processors ??

y is there no mobo makers willing to come up with a chipset and mobo for it ??

y r we only limited to Intel and AMD ?? how can VIA or IBM compete wif AMD and Intel for a share of the market and hence gif D.I.Y freaks like me more choice when building our PCs... Rolling Eyes

PowerPC has no software suport (its not x86)

Now if MS decided to support more non-x86 platform, then perhaps things would change.

MINI ITX VIA C3 and C7 boards will fit in standard ATX cases. They use the four mounting holes near the ATX I/O area.
