Hi everyone,
Today is my holiday. At last I got storage for my babies !! Very Happy

10 drawers with 50 x 60 cm and high about 4-5 cm each. Rollers on each two sides. I calculated surface for over 1200 CPUs with 50x50mm dimension. In practice it will be enough for more than 2000 CPUs.

Many thanks for Simmayor. I took his idea to order this furniture.

Now I must get good foam and 1 week I will not available on forum - arrangement LOL

Im soon going to the small town of Älmhult where IKEA started. I´ll take this up with them!

Imagine the chipcollector-drawer "Börni Hörni"

Here is mine.

It's plastic.
10 drawers too.
Size is 29 x 40 cm and high 32cm, can store 30 pcs K6's per drawer (more for 386 size).

Maybe it's more cheaper than your. I bought it for $9.5 USD.

I can't say my chip storage solution was cheap but I think you will agree it is pretty nice. In addition to storing my entire ~350 chip collection it also stores all the duplicates, scrap, and all my computer repair equiptment and spare parts. The ball bearing drawers can hold quite a bit of mass so a bunch of hard drives or Itanium processors don't give it any problem.

I know that ! That metal storage is for tools. Not cheap but solid costruction. Your model looks very good for CPUs storage Smile
