I'm hoping to find one for my collection.
Anyone have one handy?
Seriously though.
The RAD6000 is a 32bit 20MIPS RISC processor based on the PowerPCs predecessor (IBM RS6000).
It was released in 2000 and since 300 have been made. Of those 200 are still on Earth. the other 100 are in orbit or the moon or on Mars.
Both Mars rovers are powered by a RAD6000 w/ 128MB DRAM, 256MB Flash, and 3MB EEPROM
They are made by BAE Systems
