Ok, I forgot my camera going to the scrap yard again so I can't give you a picture but I have the text and a description. All of these chips are IBM's. The bottom of all of them is completely covered with pins that are not staggered but rather aranged in a square pattern. The actual chips are white ceramic and each have a heatspreader on top. Some of the heatspreaders are anodized blue, some are gray. All appear to be anodized aluminum. Their were four types of chips. I found some with more then one example. The text was as follows:
1st chip:
1 IBM 9352 11g2921
Q0800 3d2
2nd chip:
1 IBM 9314 9gx4731 pq
91290664
3rd chip
1 IBM 51 25f8308
632 1600
4th chip
1 IBM 9898 25f8568
9125 2327
I would apreciate any information about what they are. I am trying to decide whether or not to save them from being ground to dust. |

Hi Fdiv,
best way to find out what units they are is by using the P/N of
the boards they were pulled from. Using this P/Ns
at Google will bring up results at once. In your case
I guess the scrapyard-guys already did their job and
pulled them no matter from what boards?
I`m sorry I don`t know any of your numbers but I already
found out that IBM is using different P/Ns for e.g. one and the same CPU
which makes the identification even more difficult.

Hi all! I need help. I got an IBM 4381 CPU, but I can identify neither its model group, nor its clock speed.
The signature on the HS is:
10F 919 0 5 016
IBM34
A69 753 99
031 R
At the bottom, beside the pins:
R697 5399
Does anybody have an idea? |

Similar, but the model group identifier is missing from my CPU, I think. |
