Hi everyone,
I have built a dual Intel Xeon processor for Avid. As usual the Tyan mobo has 1 x PCI-X 64 133MHz and 2 x PCI-X 64 100MHz. I have 2 cards to connect, 1 x Firewire and 1 x SATA II Raid card keeping in mind that both cards have to be fastest for Avid, should I connect Firewire to 133MHz and Raid to 100MHz or the other way around and why.
Many thanks.

Check manual for this expansions cards. There must be written for what PCI-X they are best situated...
I think that best variant is:
PCI-X 133 -> RAID (because RAID is usually faster than FireWire)
PCI-X 100 -> FireWire _________________ FreeBSD - forever |
