How rare it is depends on the actual part number rather than just what class of chip it is (eg a AM9080APC/P8080A seems to be far more common than a C8080, from what I've observed recently). _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Debs is right, it highly depends on the part number. If you can find at least package type and manufacturer that may help. Plastic 8080 DIPs are common. Ceramic DIPs are less common, especially ceramic chips in purple or white ceramic package. Intel 8080 processors, while not being more rare, tend to be more expensive than processors from other manufacturers.
