Edit: admin moved this post here, but it is not actually an information request, just sharing.
I would like to get this early 8080 running. It's a '77 vintage board with chips as early as '76. Higher res images here:

I'm working on tracing out a schematic. Needs one matching 2102 RAM to replace the incorrect one someone (me?) stuffed in there, and an appropriate vintage EPROM (probably 2708 or 2716 from my eyeball examination so-far)

Am91L02 is AMD's part name for 2102. "L" is low power version of standard 2102. |

Hi,
nice board, make a highres scan of that CDIP28 chip, I can't read it. What machine did it come from? |

What machine did it come from? | The board is from an industrial controller cabinet used in the late'70s-early '80s at a company I worked for. It was some of the equpment I was responsible for maintaining. I inherited it when they went out of business. All I remember was that the box was called the "Avtron" which controlled a huge factory fabrication machine, and the card has the same name on it. It is a very complete general purpose microcomputer board.
The CDIP28 that you refer to is an AMD D8228 system controller and bus driver for the 8080. The marking is faded but it can be seen if held at certain angles to the light. |
