At the scrap yard yesterday I found 7 PA-8500's as well as three other PA-Risc chips. I have the suspicion that these three are faster then the 8500's since two were in a dual processor server in the same lot as the 8500's and the other was in one of the workstations that I presume was the managers. These three chips had significantly more cooling then the others. The heatsinks and fans used on them were quite elaborate consisting of large CNC machined metal heatspreading plates above and below the motherboard. In any case I cannot figure out what the designations of these processors are. If you know please tell me.
Thanks,
Les |

Have a look at the cpu-museum.de forum. There is a thread explaining the detection. _________________ Frank. |
