First id like to say hi to everyone.

Ok i think i might have a prob with my p5B Deluxe WiFi board, mainly with the socket. This is how i saw the socket 775 was looking like on pics i saw online:

img.clubic.com/photo/0118000000071018.jpg (add the http:// to front...im not allowed to post images as a guest Confused

While my board socket looks differently.Like in the middle the online pic has like 18 pin thingys in the middle whilst mine is missing 3 down the middle(or something like that havent looked at it in awhile now and id hate to take it out of my pc now )Right now im thinking i need to return this one for a new one,or are they supposed to look differently(for compatability with other processors etc)?

Also,If there is indeed something wrong with it,is it recommended to return this board for the same board,or are there any recommendations that I change to a completly different board?

Thx for any help in advance ^^

Moved to appropriate category

There are two kind of LGA sockets : LGA775 & LGA771.

If 3 pins are missing, then it shouldn't be a LGA771 but a LGA775 with 3 pins missing.

Do you have a picture of your own board to confirm ?

If it is confirmed, you should return it.
