|
|
Im checking out an ebay auction that is listed as a 500 mhz Pentium 2 in slot 1 format. Here is the picture.
At first glance it looks like a late P2 or P3 cartridge.
The listing says that it has a model number of:
Model number: 500/512/100/2.0V S1, i(m) (c) '98 SL365
I contacted the seller to verify that this was indeed a P2, and the seller said yes. The strange part is the cartridge does not have a Pentium II or Pentium !!! etched into the plastic next to the hologram.
Your thoughts? |

Update:
I have recieved the CPU. It indeed does not have any writing on the front of it. It just has a hologram.
Here are the numbers on the top.
500/512/100/2.0V S1
99080886-0102 MALAY
Its dated '98 SL365
Like Elar said, it seems like this is a Pentium 3. But has anyone ever seen a Slot 1 cartridge with nothing on the front? |

It is just uncommon
early Pentium III production units bears no Pentium III logo on the cartidge, even boxed retail unit
I've seen several of these Pentium III, both retail and OEM units |
