Finally i can cross of a BIG task on my todo list!

Until now chips has been added with the name that the owner of the pic used (filename in most cases). This meant that pics in a specific category where named all the different ways you can imagine and since sorting is by name they where in a mess. Stupid of me... but i prioritized the number of pics instead of naming quality.

After approximately 35 hours of stupidious and boring work, all 2800+ pics has been manually reviewed and renamed. Now there is a uniform standard and all names begin with the manufacturer name, then model and then differences like "black print" or "INTEL 1979". I have also merged some subcategories since there weren't that many specific chips that sorted in these categories. That also gives a better overview.

About 100 duplicates where found and deleted thanks to that chips now ended up between each other when named the same.

Other things done or added since last post:

All thumbnails has been resized from 190 to 250 pixels. This makes it easier to compare chips in the category overview
370 new chips added
Replaced a number of unreadable photos.
New manufacturers or categories: MOS,Performance Semiconductor, AMD 29000, UMC, Mostek, ZMD, Intersil, and a bunch of sub categories...

If anyone is missing their favorite chip or manufacturer, im working on it!!! Wink

Edit: And yes frassl, im working on adding all those strange chips you have uploaded that i even dont know the manufacturer name of Wink

Hi , i can not find the place for the Rise's chips and the Weitek chips
Maybe , you could create a "Misc" area for them.

Thats right, i have not added these chips yet, and all manufacturers will get their own category.
