| I have 532/2M ones. They are Q636ES. I have got two of them left from a set of 4 that I had. |

Why not wait for 2 to 3 years when nobody wants any old <1 GHz itaniums, buy them up for cheap, then prepare to sell them at a high price in 2015 as the first generation 64 bit processors, when even our phone-on-a-watches are all 64 bit!
Trouble with Itaniums is they come with connected heatsink and stuff don't they - quite ugly. I like to see the top of the chip, especially something in Gold like the original Pentium@60MHz.

The Itanium is by far not the first 64bit CPU! _________________ Frank. |

True ... but the Intel marketing machine will soon go into force as they battle Opteron and AMD64, and Joe Public will hear about 64 bits for the first time. In 10 years' time, everybody but us chipcollecting geeks will believe that Intel created the first 64 bit CPU.
But then again you have a point ... only us chpcollecting geeks will be buying 733MHz Itaniums in 10 years' time... |
